Actress Brittany Murphy dead at 32

Brittany was one of those non-mega star actresses that I put on my favorites list the first time I ever saw her in a movie. I think the first one that sold me was "Girl Interrupted".

Several movies I've seen that I really liked I watched originally just because she was in it.

Until the very last picture that I just watched of hers I'd say I've never seen her in a picture that I didn't like.

This last one was one of those gawd aweful made for Sci-Fi Channel movies called "Megafault", that was on a few weeks ago. That's already a clue that your career isn't going so well when you've sunk to doing a SFC flic. The only reason I wanted to watch it at all was because she was in it. The bad part was that the whole time I was watching it. I kept thinking she looked terrible in the sense of some sort of health issue.

One of my favorite whacked out roles that she played was in an off the wall pic called "Spun" with John Leguizamo, Mena Suvari and Micky Rourke.

BTW "Sin City" is a classic in my book.

It sure is sad, but I'm shocked that it's headline news.

It's called drama. If anyone but a "movie star", it never would have been mentioned.

And to tell the truth, I don't remember seeing her in any movie. And I've not seen the ones mentioned either.

she played shellie , the bartender at kadie's ( not sure of the spelling ) , the place where nancy ( jessica alba ) dances . great movie and an almost perfect translation of some of the graphic novels in the series .
brittany murphy was definitely one of these actresses that was going mostly towards the inde movies and did great anytime she did with , her most memorable roles to me were in spun ( good movie ) , sin city , don't say a word and girl interrupted .
RIP

Ain't that true about everything that's "news" now? Watching entertainment tonight or inside edition makes me want to go jump off a bridge. Though its not even just those shows anymore. Cable news and the national news are like that, as well as all the morning shows.

The only place to get "news" anymore is from the local newspaper.

she played the girl who's boyfriend was secretly a cop and he beat the crap out of her all the time and was going to let his buddies have their way with her.

Still doesn't ring a bell.

But then again, Sin City got realeased in 2004 or 2005 or so. The only things I remember are of course Jessica Alba's dance, Elijah Wood's non-transparent glasses and walking out of the cinema.

Caz Dalton's sure relief for depression

Shut off your TV. It has an off switch and that's where it stays on mine lest there's a sport's event I wish to watch. The "real" truth would make you frantic.

Throw away your tabloids. Even the daily news is nothing but a tabloid these days.

Don't take "anything" on the internet too serious.

... And don't tell me no one here saw 'Sin City' !

Saw what? Sorry never seen em .. have no clue who she or half the celebutards in hollywood are. I just have no interest.

WRT this passing, a shame really one so young, but ... things like this happen every day to ordinary people too yet we don't hear nothing about it ...
