adding RFN gauge

I tried to add the RFN gauge to a plane without VC entry in FSX/P3D, Dave Garwood's Hawker Hunter. Has anyone here done that?
I can add a dummy VC entry, but that doesn't work.

Yes. But there's also an entry needed in the VC. Adding the entry you normally place in the VC1 section to the TACAN window results in a CTD.

Never mind: it was staring me in the face all this time.

I must be getting old.

But I keep getting a CTD.....

Just an observation, I used to be committed to doing all the carrier and aircraft settings for the excellent RFN gauge but then saw it was far less work to spot the carrier group in Littlenavmap. A bit of a cheat and less realistic but a great time saver if you have limited time to practice cats and traps particularly with a new aircraft or carrier you have yet set up for the RFN gauge.
