Addons Setup Help v4.5?

I know, I'm way late to the party. I'm sorry, but I could really use some help here. I have searched for days - nay, weeks, to find what, to me, would be simple instructions on how to set up 3rd party addons, both scenery and aircraft (and boats too) to a remote drive. The instructions I have found seem to assume a large amount of previous experience with P3D to begin with which I do not have. What I do have is a CLEAN (except for Orbx) install of P3D v4.5 that runs smooth as butter with sliders pretty much maxed and controllers working perfectly on FSX profiles.

Larry. thanks very much for these. The first one looks promising. I'm having to reconcile the way Orbx installed. I may have jumped the gun. I had Orbx install directly into my remote (D) drive directly. It did and seems to work correctly. The config file that was created is throwing me off a bit and I'm not exactly sure where to pick up from.
