Just when you think you have everything running some what better...

You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.

    1. November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
    2. November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
    3. November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
    4. November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.

If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.

To keep you updated Tom Clayton has offered to post updates on AVSIM forums.

    Thank you for your support.

Hello everyone,

Who could tell me what is the name of the sounds file ADF, and where it is located in FSX?
Thanks for your help!

Alain.

Alain,
It is the individual NDB that transmits a unique ID in morse code. The sound is part of the compiled bgl file that contains the NDB specifics (lat/long, frequency, ID). The ADF is merely the cockpit gauge that "automatically" determines the relative bearing to the NDB.

What are you attempting to do with the sound?

You can see what the bgl might contain here.

Hello PhrogPhlyer,

Thank you for your response!
In fact, on certain ADF radios, it is impossible to mute the Morse code sound (except to change the ADF frequency) even with a switch to mute this sound, so I was trying to cancel it or reduce the volume!
It seems that my wish is very difficult!
Thank you for your help!

There should be a key binding default for adf audio in the controls buttons/keys options. I do not use FSX anymore and my memory is foggy.

Hello Mike 71

Yes, but depending on the models of these radios, the buttons/switches do not always have the desired effect!
Good day
