Adjusting Touch-Down Effect?

Hi: I suspect that there is a way to adjust the size of the touch down smoking tire effect...Can someone please tell me how to do it? I am tired of my plane disappearing in tire smoke! Thanks,

I changed the smoke effects in the effects folder - first copy the fx_tchdwn_m.fx (Med smoke) than renaming it fx_tchdwn.fx - which is for large smoke. Save your original fx_tchdwn.fx file first.


This is the smoke effect in your aircraft.cfg file for most large aircraft. You could change touchdown effect to "fx_tchdwn_m" instead but than you would have to do it in each large aircraft. Either way it will fix it for you.

wake=fx_wake
water=fx_spray
dirt=fx_tchdrt
concrete=fx_sparks
touchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1
