• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Would it be possible to have a sub-forum of the CFS3 Forum, which serves as a knowledge base? A great deal of useful, need-it-again info gets lost because it isn't possible to find it again in the main forum. The idea is that any thread such as the one I've just done on using aircraft from other theatres, could go into the knowledge base and remain easier to find. This is what's been done for Strike Fighters over at CombatAce, and it works.

Please?

I second this motion.
There is a number of folks posting in this forum nearly daily with this or that tip or trick which they have discovered, and the idea of an "encyclopedia" for this sort of valuable information would be a truly wonderful asset for the rest of us.

I've started my own, sort of, by storing the many posts I find here, but it is far from encyclopedic, and is not complete.

At my age, the idea of trying to remember where I saw something is ludicrous, so this would be a God-send.

I don't know about a sub-forum but if it was done right and information ONLY was added and not a lot of comments we could make a sticky out of it. I will in the interim bring up the idea of a sub forum to the staff. Sorry I havn't been around much to help....I've been ill and both of my parents having cancer has pretty much eaten up most of my time and energy but I'll do what I can when I can do it.

Hi Mid,

That's the idea - I think limited posting access, or threads transferred by request only, or something, to stop them becoming full of idle chatter... Perhaps a mod on hand to delete the dross if necessary! But there won't be much to do, I don't expect.

I'm sorry to hear about your parents - American doctors are very good at these things, so I hope that all goes for the very best. "Courage" as they say...

Hi Mid

My daughter went through the agony of cancer last year; I know how it feels. Hang in there and a lot of praying. Ndicki is right "Courage" and a lot of it.

God bless and in prayer

Thanks guys....Ndicki...that's what I was thinking if you mayhaps prepare some stuff in a reasonable organization, contact me and I'll sticky it and close the thread...that way one won't have to go thru a bunch of well meaning but unrelated stuff(no offense to anyone).
