Good Day

L-39C Blue 11
Uzbekistan Air Force, Karshi-Khanabad AB, 2005.

Reference material and historical text courtesy of "Linden Hill" 1/48 Decals LHD48009 and my wallet.

Repaint from Guy LeVasseur alias "VaporZ" / glevass21@globetrotter.net

National "Uzbek" Roundel on Fin and Underwings only. No Upperwings markings.

This L-39 is based on a photography took at the strategically important base of Karshi-Khanabad.

This base is 125 miles north of the Afghanistan border and within range of the restive Ferghana Valley region.

Uzbekistan Air force have an inventory of 14 L-39 Albatross formerly from the Ex-Soviet Armavir Training Center and used for training and liaison duties.

Dont ask me how I have been able to scale and aligned the "UZ AIR FORCE" inscription on the intake to two different files.

I do not beleive it myself.

Repaint available here :

Next one will be for a Bulgarian Air Force L-39ZA.
Enjoy
