• There seems to be an up tick in Political commentary in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site we know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religiours commentary out of the fourms.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politicion will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment amoung members. It is a poison to the community. We apprciate compliance with the rules.

Hi,
Just thought I would post up a re-done texture of mine from the Aerosoft Huey X. Sometime back I did a texture depicting a texture from the film "We Were Soldiers" this in fact was added to an update for the Huey X. Well she's been out of action for a while but has now come out of retirement showing a new texture (still in the green) showing the markings of 229th Aviation Battalion. OK I know its not perfect but I like it. I have also re-done the quick start panel showing this version. If interest is there I will upload. Regards Timm

Thats weird I must say. Now looking at your pics I can go 2 ways, 1.leave the snake in the triangle or 2. Re-place it with just the blue triangle. Let me know. Regards Timm
 
Timm, if my memory serves me correctly, only the birds that Bruce Crandall flew had the snake. It was his symbol. I can't find the link, but I have read that his crew chief would snatch those doors off of his bird and put them on whichever bird he happened to be assigned for a particular mission. Your repaint is awesome, and I am searching for that link... To be continued..... :mixed-smiley-010:
 
Hi, Here it is then back to just the blue triangle. I have tried in doing the red band that goes round The engine cowling but due to a model problem I noticed that the lines went off at a weird angle so I have taken them out. Timm
