Aerospatiale AS350 Ecureuil

I've been working solo on this for a number of months now and I'm hoping to have a base release not too far from now. This will be a continuous project, even after the first release and I've added some wonderful features including persistent options. This means that any options (per livery) selected via a tablet in the VC will automatically be saved and will load again with the particular livery. Also features sound distant and cone effects (a first for me), three different engine sounds, high resolution liveries (2K/4K), full PBR on the outside and some on the inside, custom lighting effects and more. Price? All free, as all my work have been. Although designed for P3DV5/P3DV6, this will work n P3DV4. This is a high poly model (with all options coded in), but performance is good on my end in V4/V5, V6 hasn't been good to me for some reason  I'm looking for a better pilot model as this one can't reach the controls :D

Still plugging away. I've been redoing the entire engine logic using AI and the results have came back on a positive side. Each engine variant will have specific logic to handle power, temperatures, etc. I am aiming for a base release sometime next month with additional expansions to come (as time allows)

The first release (AS350D) is not far off, other versions will be released in increments (with code changes to the engine logic). All 2D gauges (except for radio displays, logics) have been replaced with 3D parts, FDE is more or less complete as well as the sounds. Turbine Sound Studios have been gracious enough to let me use a couple of sound samples from their FS9 AS350 soundpack, but modified slightly for this project.

Of course this is a continued work in progress project as other variations are planned (with time of course) and I do have plans to switch FDEs at some point as the turboprop flight model is showing its age and is very limited on what could be done with it.

I'm hoping for an initial release sometime this month and if there's interest for FSX version, I'll do one for that platform (I'm only on P3DV5 and XP12 these days).2026-4-1_15-25-1-254.jpg2026-3-30_15-49-55-321.jpg2026-3-30_10-30-56-302.jpg2026-3-25_3-10-13-256.jpg

I hate to say this to you but did you read the documents included in the root of the original zip file, especially the one named 'AS350D_Options.pdf'? There is a tablet that appears on a button push on the panel and the options are saved so that whenever you fly that particular paint it will remember your last specific set-up for that version. Doors of all types are select-able on the tablet and the tablet worked very well for me when I had a chance to beta test it a while ago.
