AF Scrub PB4Y-2 model update

@ UT, or anyone who might know...

Hi Guys,

Last night I stumbled across and downloaded UT's KM_PB4Y2_skinpack_UT.

In the skinpack-readme he mentions "I chose the AF Scrub model update because elements of the external model have been improved (top turrets have frames etc.)..."

I got the skins installed just fine by changing the texture file names as he suggested. But am curious to see what it looks like with AF Scrub's model update.

I was wondering where to obtain the AF Scrub model update?

Is the AFS model update part of a full-tilt PB4Y-2 aircraft done by AFS?

Hiya UT,

Got her loaded into the sim.

A couple of things:

Can't tell if it is shined. Looks like it may be but if it is it isn't much.

Clicking on several of the panel views cause the sim to crash which indicates to me the presence of some incompatible gauge- incompatible with Window 8.1 anyway. Ended up aliasing to my standard B-24 panel

There is no Virtual cockpit(?)

But I definitely see what you mean about the slight model improvement- including turret framework

TBH Chris it's so long since I did these paints I'm really not sure.

I dug the old aircraft files out of an archived install & found I must have had a go at shining it up, see the attached zip - seems to have a GSB_model saved, maybe that's got some more shine to it?

Painters shorthand - GSB = Gloss Sea Blue

Use that model for the Korea & Aeronavale paint. It might mean I used M Wrights MDLmat to change the colour of some untextured parts of the model too, hence me saving it as "GSB_PB4Y2", but TBH it's so long ago I really can't recall.

These days if I do such tweaks I record it in the readme & upload along with the paints, so my record keeping has improved a little ... :p87:
