AFG KingAir 300 Port over

Yeah, someone did port the AFG B300 to FSX... AFG! Sadly, the AFG site is gone, but the AFG B300 and its FSX updates can still be found at various sites.

Great news!! This has been my default plane in fs9 for a long time and as soon as I get fsX installed, it will fulfill the same role there. I have almost 60 liveries installed so there is never a shortage of options to play with.

Thanks for the update, I have both the AFG and now the B200 in FSX, if I can just get the Friendly Panels Proline 21 panel to work.

Friendly Panels has Beech 350's for FSX, the package includes steam and glass cockpits. I have it, the virtual cockpit looks nice, but the radio selector panel does not work (at least with my install of SP2/Accel) and their 3D model of the Super King Air is far inferior to even the stock M$ B350.

Trying to port the stock B350 VC into the ISDT B200 and carefully adding gauges to the AFG B300 for FSX (working great except for a sound issue on shutdown), although there is a panel.cfg out for the FS9 AFG to use the FP basic EADI/EHSI. I bought the FP panels hoping for a good real world trainer of the PL 21 glass. I too was surprised at their "boxy" version a B350, the stock King Air is for once better.

ISDT site seems to be up, only the homepage with a new WIP 100% FSX ATR.

The AFG B300 does have a problem with the ignition switches in the VC. What happens is that when you try to start the engines with the 3D switches they rapidly click between "on" and "off". In order to get the engines to start you have to stop the switches at the right moment when they are in the "on" position. It's a trial and error thing. Unfortunately, this means the ignition stays on and when you shut down, the igniters and starter motors engage and try to restart the engines. Starting the engines from the 2D cockpit switches eliminates this problem as the 2D switches work fine. I actually copied the 2D switches into a pop up panel that I can use in the VC.
