YES!!!!!!!!!!!! Afnor Morocco is here!

Good evening,

Jean Bomber has released the Morocco section of the Afnor scenery, the scenery ingredient missing for the complete release of the Tuskegee Airmen campaign! :icon29:

This covers the scenery for Morocco, including the city of Casablanca, your starting point for the journey that is the entire campaign that takes you from Morocco to Berlin!

Please read the instructions, because you will need to have the Gibraltar scenery installed, as well as Lampedusa / Pantelleria.

You can find it here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=45&id=5164

Thank you, Jean Bomber!

Hi, :salute:I hope the best for this new year to all! :ernae:I've uploaded the Afnor Morocco, and I hope to have not forgotten a piece and then all will work. Also, sorry for my absences but R/L today is not a long quiet stream.:kilroy:
A special thank to Wolfi for the casbah wall gate and tower objects that have superb damage effects, these coupled with the new Penwin32 TAF flak guns ,I 've had some fun moments charging with rockets on this forts again the flak bullets .
A special thank to Rami to be so patient...:icon_lol: ...

Wonderful scenery! I seem to have a problem with Mehdia SP though. I have no water in the port and the walled city is on a hill. I believe I have installed everything correctly and have followed instructions. Could you suggest where I have errored.

:jawdrop:
Jean, since I'm speechless by such a masterpiece scenery, I have only one word:

MAGNIFICENT!!!!

:jump: :applause: :jump: :applause: :jump: :applause: :jump:

Q: Is it only in the Mehdia-PortLyautey area you have the issue? seem to be one or the Port_LyauteyXX.bgls or the Mehdia SP.BGL they are fssc bgl where the flattens done for the river should usually work but I see that also the sebou river water mask doesn't work ....that concerne also some bgls made with g2k....
so I think it's about the hierarchy level in scenery .cfg ,perhaps your Afnor_scen is upper than Afnor_bases in your scenery.cfg ?
in the scenery libray :
The folder Afnor_scen need to be placed to the bottom just upper the Terrain dem7 dem8 and Eurw.pic 1
The Afnor_bases folder must be placed around the Achim's bases or Brunosk malta, the level you put the airbases sceneries.pic 2
erase also the filelist.dat in these folders and retry .
if it's not efficient try to reinstall the Afnor Morocco scenery or if it's only in the Mehdia-PortLyautey area reinstal/lreplace only Mehdia and PortLyautey bgls erasing also the filelist.dat before to launch cfs2

hope that will help

Thank you Jean Bomber!! That WAS the problem. As you can see things have been put right. Is the walled city on the hill correct?

Good Stoney now all is in order ,the city is right but my hill is less smooth due I think by the difference there is between lod8 and lod9.
Do you use the lod 9 mesh for the scenery ?

Sorry but....

I did everything according to the instructions (I think), but apparently I´ve missed something...
How do I get rid of those squares near Casablanca??

....I must report I have the exact problem Skylane has. :frown:

What kills me is that every other scenery of the Afnor collection, starting from Gilbratar to the Pelagic Islands, works just fine and looks fantastic.

I had a similar problem when I first installed Gibraltar. It had to do with the scenery.cfg hierarchy that I resolved by moving the scenery up and down in the scenery lib screen, until I found the correct spot. Then it repeated with the Pelagic Islands.
This time I resolved it by installing Lampedusa, Lampione, etc. as a separate scenery and placing it in the right spot of the scenery lib, instead of putting all files inside the Afnor 1 folders, as per readme instructions.

As soon as I saw the squares in the Casablanca area I recalled the trick I used for the Pealgic Islands, I removed all Morocco files from the Afnor 1 folders and set them up as a separate scenery. To no avail. :crybaby:

It seems that placing Morocco files below the Pealgic Islands Fringing Cay and Reef worsens the problem, at any rate there seems to be no problem in the Port Lyautey area as shown below.....

(cont.)

...while all hell breaks loose from Fedala to Casablanca, as shown below, in a sort of spider web pattern I never saw before in ten years of CFS2 flying.....

...in the meantime, as I said before, all of Afnor collection looks as fantastic as you, Jean, meant it for which I renew my thanks and my admiration for your artistic skills! The below screens show what I mean.

I used mostly Advanced Info screens because they show very well where landclass squares are faulty.

Since now Skylane is reporting the same problem, what do you think might have gone wrong in our Morocco install procedure? Now I am really out of options, I don't give up easily with computers, but everything I tried before, which worked, is not working now.

Thank you, Jean, and sorry for being the usual pest.....:salute:

Cheers!

...what do you think might have gone wrong in our Morocco install procedure?
Kelti and Skyline the process is good ,in this order : Afnor I + pellagics + Morocco (for those have not the scenery installed) that's is ok ....
.....except the fact that.......:banghead: .......
I've forget to put one texture bmp in the Afnor_scen/texture folder ,it was a test I've tried to do a oued river texture I've drawed some lines but even if I was not happy with, I've kept them in the upload.... here joint the oued.bmp that will go in Afnor_scen/texture with that normally all should work...
