To all,

After thinking about this for a couple of weeks, I've decided to stay on in the Pacific for a bit. Talon created seven USN missions for the beginning of DoA, and I'd like to create a continuum between Defense of Australia and Devildog73's missions with Bong and McGuire.

That means I'm looking at the P-39s in New Guinea as well as Milne Bay. I also have "Cactus Air Force" that I'm sifting through, which is actually TRIPLE sided, with a whole campaign dedicated to the F4F, P-38, and P-39 / P-400.

At least I don't have to build a complete install first...

Then, I will be leaving the area to return to familiar lands.

Good! I need a few weeks to rebuild Europe for you anyway.

Plus there may be a Beaufighter mission pak coming out to fill in the blanks also starting September 17,1942.The 30th Squadron flew from Ward field during this period.

I agree with the others Rami! :jump:

Hey Talon, I built one of the Bong missions into Huon Bay attacking a troop convoy resupplying Lae.
I kept it historic and used Beaufighters and B-25s with skip bombing and torpedoes. Just as in real life, the Mitchells and Beaufighters sank every troop ship and 3 of the 4 destroyer escorts using your guidance from the other thread. Thanks for the guidance!:salute:

I did some research on the RNZAF in the Solomons about a year and a half ago but never started any missions.I have a full plate right now working on other things.Plus they would be after the time slot both Rami and I are working on.Maybe someone might be interested in doing some RNZAF missions.

SPMan, I will check the history files I have and see if the RNZAF took part in any of the missions with the USAAC 5th Air Force and RAAF against New Britain and the northern Solomons. If they did, I will get them into the fight as AI and maybe a player flight or two.

Glad to hear it Rami. No matter what I do to the European theater things just always seem to look and run better in CFS2's Pacific region. I didn't fly the Pacific for a couple of years, and when I went back things just seemed to look and run so much smoother. I know someone's going to say that I just didn't use the right combination of add-ons, but I had everything in the 5 different European installs I have. Maybe that's the problem, it took too many add-ons to make the European theater look right.
