'Ah Burt Bacharach'...

Ahhhh Dionne, I wonder though, did she ever find the way to San Jose?
Did y'all know she is Whitney Houstons auntie.

Oh yeah! Panther that is a sweet tune and a great video from one of many of Dionne Warwick's TV performances. I've always liked this one. It ain't Dionne or Burt but it is an essential late 50's and 60's Jazz vocal.

Then came this classic and funky soul hit by her.

Burt used to be married to Angie Dickinson!;)
She was still hot when she did the "Police Woman" TV series in her 40's.

There were so many songs that Burt Bacharach wrote in the 1960's...it was like "he wrote the songs", you know. Dionne Warrick wasn't the only female vocalist that used his songs to gain success. Here are another 2 of Burt's songs that made her a star. Perhaps, not as big as Dionne but she had a following just the same.

How many songs did Burt write for 1960's movies? Here are just a couple you may remember.
