AH DC-3 Service Upgrade

Hi folks, we have just released a Service Upgrade for the AH DC-3 package. This update contains remapped and textured models to improve rendering in V5.2. Also in the package are 9 new liveries. We were going to release a livery pack separately but have decided to include the liveries from Livery Pack 1 in this package. You will need to download your package again from your favourite vendor.

Aeroplane Heaven Douglas DC-3 Service Upgrade for P3DV4.5 and P3DV5.2

Further modifications to the texture mapping for improved appearance in V5.2.

As a result of these modifications we can now release a FREE Livery Pack.

Aironaves (Mexico)
Air Queensland
Buffalo
Ansett ANA
TAA Classic (early polished alloy)
Swissair (Original livery on natural alloy)
Swissair Restored (High Polished AlloY).

N.B. ALL these additional liveries are now included in the complete package.


AVIONICS

We understand that the developers of the F1 GTN suite will no longer be developing for P3D.
They are also no longer supporting the package.

This means that if you own the F1 GTN suite and use it in the DC-3, it will not function in V5+
You can continue to use it in V4.5.

Therefore, we hae removed reference to this package from the panels in V5.2 as there may be issues with crashing and freezing, due to incompatibility.

The RealityXP range of products remains available and will function well with the DC-3 in V4.5 or V5+ and it is not difficult to transition to these, using the basic
panel.cfg entries from V4.5, copied and pasted to the panel.cfg of the V5+ version of the DC-3.
 
Thx for the update. So the number of the current version is 1.4 now?
I see that on my store is 1.3 still but it needs the time perhaps so I’ll download it in the next few days.

Just 3 question, I dont see it in changelog:
- vc light bug (dome light always on), gears bracket connection and cover of right engine (mirror issue) was touched?

all of those issues was reported by my by mail to support long time ago.
 
The gear geometry is correct, the cowlings have been remapped. Can't see the issue with the domelight but we'll look again.:engel016:

The gear in 1.3 was better than before, agree but with issue still (so 50% here was solved, not all parts, pls dont do the same mistake in MSFS version, all documents you recived on support @ from my side when 1.3 was released). About domelight I'll check in 1.4, it wasnt me only in 1.3. Here, on SOH it was reported also and on Avsim. Always "on" (from cold and dark start too). It was problem with superchargers too which turn off by themselves after 30 minutes of flight, I suppose there aren't many people flying in P3D now, so it's not a big problem now ;>.

Thx also for new skins! I haven't flew in P3D for a long time, but this will be a reason to come back to it for a while :very_drunk:.
 
I do not understand what you mean by the gear geometry not being correct. We adjusted it to reference in the last update.:engel016:

Ok, so I'll check it in 1.4. If it will be ok, great, if this mistake (with connecting of the brackets) is still present like in 1.3 I'll find my old mails and will send again to help solve it finally. In 1.3 it was remodeled, right, but there was a connection bug. This shouldn't have happened with such a legendary and well-documented airplane just like that ; ).

Bazz, Unfortunately it doesn't work that way in 1.3 and I'm sure of it, if you want I can bet on it (box of nice cold :icon29: from yours or my country?). So why did I see the mistake in brackets connection in the 1.3v model? :pirate: Better not to write about this problem now, I suggested that I will test it first and let me know if it is ok or the issue still occurs in 1.4 like 1.3. Its enough to write that if the problem is confirmed, it will be fixed for MSFS model (so as not to duplicate it in the MSFS version, which will certainly be much more popular model than for P3D, Im sure). Im currently looking forward to the MSFS versions so honestly like many of us but its a nice to see updated P3D model too, I appreciate it.

YoYo I think it is time you ended this argument. It has carried on for far too long. As Bazzar has explained he has don the best he can. He has put thousands of hours into this project with 3 upgrades and you are the only who has had any major argument. As a Moderator I keep a very close eye on things and don't want to see the thread closed or see AH stop posting here keeping us informed of their products.
 


Can I solve this. Contact points (main gear only) are too low in 1.4.
What is good, domelight is ok now.
