Description: The XC-47C was a prototype attempt in 1943 to produce an amphibious transport by adding a pair of Edo 78 floats to the workhorse C-47 Skytrain.

There is one still flying! It's owned by Max Folsom and has been around since the 80's. This video from last year was the first time I had ever heard of a DC-3 or C-47 on floats.
