AH FS9 Bristol Bulldog

SOH-CM-2023
Is there any hope that Aeroplane Heaven Bulldog for FS2004 will ever be available, somewhere again? I've did a google search and could find only the latest versions. I'd sure like to try Huub's new super looking skins.

Stoney,

As I have the model and as it is not longer on sale, I have asked Bazzar's permission to share it with those who what it. When I receive his permission, I will make it available here. If not I will post a message here.

Cheers,
Huub

Good news for those who want the FS9 Bristol Bulldog. Barry Bromley aka Bazzar, has given his permission to share the model.

Stoney you will have a PM in a few minutes with the download links.

Others who want the the model can write me a PM, which I will answer as soon as possible. (Please keep in mind that I sometimes sleep and also have a full time job in the real world.....)

Cheers,
Huub

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Huub. You are a jewel!:applause:

Stoney,

You're welcome, but its not really me you need to thank. Bazzar who gave his permission to share the model is the one to be thankful to.

Cheers,
Huub

Now I'm confused...

I found that I had the original AH Bulldog in my library.

It installs 2 aircraft: Bristol Bulldog IIa & Bristol Bulldog IVa, with an effects folder.

Huub's installs 3 aircraft, AH_Bristol_Bulldog, AH_Bristol_BulldogMKIV & AH_Bristol_BulldogMKIVSki & there's a separate Guages zipped folder, & no effects folder.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Robin

Robin,

Can you check on which date the mdl files from your version were saved? I think the one I made available dates back to 2003, based on this date it might originally have been an FS2002 model which was upgraded to FS2004 by new gauges. According to the download date, I must have purchased it early 2005.
As the Bulldog has been available for many years, it might have received another update somewhere in time.

Cheers,
Huub

I believe this is the original FS2002 version upgraded for FS2004.
Been using it since I purchased it from AH way back in my FS formative years. It works fine in FSX for me as well.
:encouragement:

Huub, thank you for these glorious repaints, also for sending me the Bulldog, it's a real treat! FS9 gives and gives, in large parts to the great community! And Shessi keeps cooking up new WW2 stuff to look forward to, too...

Hello everyone. Just for clarification, the Bulldog (original payware) pack always had the MkIV and ski version. If I remember correctly, we did issue the Bulldog as freeware at some time and that pack just contained the wheeled version. It's a while ago so forgive any incorrectness. Unfortunately we lost the original files and the sim pakages etc. when our main drives went AWOL after the floods of 2011. For those who don't have the new Bulldog for P3D and run that sim as well, you will find the new one a totally different beast!:engel016:

For those who haven't seen it......

The new FSX/P3D version of the Bulldog!

Mmm, so Huub's Bulldog has BulldogFS.mdl date of 19 Dec 2003, my AH Bulldog's Bulldog model date is 20 Dec 2003.
Huub's has a separate ski version, mine is integrated within the Bulldog IVa version as a variation, not a separate plane.
It also has a manual dated 4 April 2004

Another difference is that you have the gauges included and an effect folder. The manual is familiar, when I memory is still correct, I thought that was a separate (free) download. As a sort of appetizer.

Cheers,
Huub

Did a little experimenting with the gauges, not being too happy with some of them. Replaced the ASI, RPM and altimeter with those from Nigel"s Avro Tutor. Much, much better, thank you Nigel.

Soon.............

Still work in progress.... I've noticed I need to polish a bit extra metal!
