AI Carriers woes.....

I have a recurring problem with AI Carrier. The source, I think, has to do with the AICarrier.cfg file, because except for a couple selections, the remaining carrier selections on the menu just do NOT show up. The ships are in the Boat directory. But how do I fix my AICarrier.cfg file to read/work correctly? Most frustrating!!! Also, earlier today, I found a cool mission (but OLD) involving an earlier version of Dino's Tomcat, some AI Tomcats, and Javier's carrier; complete with a installer. Sound easy, right? Wrong. I got an error, saying the "F-14D Tomcat not found", and then FSX crashed when trying to find the carrier scenery. Grrrr.... So I uninstalled it. The author of the mission is Ed Olander. I emailed him about the difficulties.
Anyway, with regards to my AI Carrier problems, I think if I had a correct AICarrier.cfg file it would fix things. As for the mission, maybe it could be edited, but again, I don't know how to do that either! NC
 
Pete, try uploading your aicarrier.cfg file. Maybe we can take a look. My AI carriers install doesn't show all the entries in my cfg file too. Not sure why. Presently, the last entry doesn't show, even though it would be about two thirds down on the second page. BTW, you are hitting the "0" key to show "next page", right..?

Hi Paul,

I will upload my AICarrier.cfg entries tomorrow sometime, and let you take a look at it. Maybe a good idea also, would be to include a screenshot of my Boats directory? Am not sure if I hit the "O" key to change pages, but I know I select the next page of entries, many times. Thanks! Pete
 
Well, I uninstalled and reinstalled AICarriers. Prior to that, it must have not been installed correctly, because I never did have it in the drop down menu of FSX. Now it is. I tried a couple selections. All seem to be ok:applause: NC
