Ai Steering

I have been pouring over the old postings looking for more information on improving ai performance. It seems like there was something about the steering angle that must be set to get them to behave properly when taxiing. If I remember right it needs to be set at 180 degrees. Does anybody know what I am talking about? Does this sound right?
 
You are correct.There are a few other things such as the CG needs to be moved back on the AI AC and a few other things.Now there are a few things that need to be done to the player AC as well.As for the tail wheel the player AC should not exceed 65 to 70*.This allows you to turn on the deck of a stock CFS2 carrier with ease and still maimtain good controll of the AC on takeoff and durring ground roll.Now, the landing of AI AC is controlled by the airbase data file.If you go back and look at some of the post and you don`t have to go back to far you will find a post about how I work my airbase data file s so that the AI land and takeoff in the same direction.

Yeah that's it...of the three values, the first controls longitudinal positioning. But be advised that moving the CoG too much can also have an adverse affect in the way the AI cruise. Too much adjustment and they will start to porpoise up and down in cruise as they try to compensate for discrepancies between the CoG in the cfg and the CoG in the .air file. If this happens, you may have to adjust the main wing center of lift in record 1204 and take out all entries from 1535 and higher.
 
So starting out with something like:

Then, make further behavioral observations?
 
Have they fixed it so we can upload again, if so I will upload my AI f4f and my ZERO AI.See what you think.
 
Change the 1st value only. -0.25,0.00,0.00.This puts the CG just behind the pilot.Fly the AI AC and check it.If it is to hard for you to fly then it will be the same for the AI.Also flying the AI AC gives you a good idea of how the changes effect the aircraft.Then make a test mission and observe the AI in action to see how the AI AC reacts.
