Air Race Game

Hello!

I'm looking for a good air race game. Any suggestion?

It should be less demanding than OFF P2 to be able to run on my old computer. Less mean I can play OFF smoothly but at lower settings.

I found some good review about Xtreme air Racing 2 but the website is closed and I think it's not in stores anymore.

Thanks for any help.

Jeeze... not since Microprose Acrojet back in the day.

The latest I've seen was an add-on for M$ Flight SimX. But that sim is a monster at any setting.

Other than that, I can't recall anything playable in the past 10 years.

Hello,
there are online trials with FS 2004 (=FS 9) on this very forum, e.g. "Around the world multiplayer" where you have to change planes at several airfields, and compete with other flyers.
I did a race offline against the watch myself, in a HeHavilland "Comet", but this thing is a chore to taxi or land, and it took quite some time from England to Australia - but at least this plane has an autopilot :icon_lol:
Greetings,

So we should be able to race online in off... but how can we know if someone don't follow each waypoints or if he fly higher than the height limit?

I am certain that nobody here would resort to those types of cheats....

we would just shoot down anybody that gets ahead of us:costumes:

OFF race

I should try it someday.

We start at the same airfield and the first to land on a chosen airfield is the winner.

I think it'll be a <first we'll be last> sort of thing and only one player at the finish line...

There are a number of Air Races for IL2. And if you can use the Full Mission Builder you can change the plane you are using at will. I believe they are really designed to be flown on line, however you can fly against the clock offline.
