I need more ammo
Got both my guns jammed or damaged today flying my Camel, either way they stopped working during a dogfight.
I was left with no choice but to defend myself with my rockets and on the 3rd attempt i got him. What a way to go.

The bugger is, i stalled to close to the ground fighting his wingmates a few missions later and died before my 7 claims from 3 missions were confirmed...bugger.
 
Happened to me in Phase II, got a flamer that refused to go down, he took all my bullets to no avail. Then out of desperation, I magically fired a couple of rockets from my belly. He went DOWN in many little flaming pieces :sheep:
 
The first, and last time I tried to use my AA rockets I shot too close to the E/A in front of me and blew up right along with him.
 
I may have to switch sides, my Albatros doesn't have those fireworks thingies.:hititbanana:
 
I have used them successfully on several ocassions - they're great on 2 seaters when you know they will absorb 1/2 your ammo. Also with the Nieuports when you only have one gun and the ammo goes so fast.

I figure it's all fair, not really cheating. Heck, they're harder to hit with than machine guns!

A Possible Problem with our P47 Rockets

After you fire, Hit F9 - Weapon view . . and for that moment ... your screen will only show those rockets streaking toward your target. . and if destroyed the target by shear luck ( Large Blast Radius) you'll see exactly where you made your error for next time . . HOWEVER

While you were watching Rocket Trajectories, your aircraft kept on truckin towards the target, you could ruin your whole day, by crashing into what you just blew up.

Sooo Fire, pull out of your attack line,. . then F9
 
Actually I prefer to keep my rockets until I find some of these!
