• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

In the process of setting up AAM, I get the following message:

Listenindex ûberschreitet das Maximum (0)

To which list / index does it refer?
What am I doing wrong?

Do you have FSX on your system? It might be that the program is looking for it automaticaly and throwing a wobbly when it can't find it. Try going into options set FS9 as the correct path and untick all the FSX pathways. If you do have FSX....buggered if I know. :d
 
Hey Clarke, I should've provided more info.
I'm using WinXP and I DO NOT have FS-X. When AAM starts it does go for FS-X and I immediately delete that path. I then set the path to FS9 and make sure to include "Aircraft" as directed by the instructions.

I did exactly as above for my CFS2 install and it worked flawlessly.

I tried to include FS9 (btw, I have two FS9 installs) as additional paths in the CFS2 install, but only the CFS2 shows up.

So I then attempted two additional AAM installs --one for each Sim-- and that is when I started getting the message.

Instead of using the open/browse method from inside AAM, I open the aircraft folder and drag the air file over the top of the AAM shortcut icon on my desktop. The app then opens with the air file ready to edit. You should be able to do that from any directory.
 
That's a clever "trick", Tom; thank you. I'll be using it as it avoids having to open WinExplorer.

BTW, I resolved my problem -- made paths to all 3 sims in a single "install" of AAM. Apparently the fix was to click on the [Aircraft] entry until the aircraft list appeared:

D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2004\Aircraft\
