At first I was amazed that I had never learned about this long serving aircraft, now it seems to be popping up everywhere. I was reading about the Glider Regiment last night and what should pop up but the 504 as a glider tug for glider training flights. One sentence in the description can be interpreted in two different ways. When describing an exercise they mention 2 Avro 504s towing 4 gliders. I don't know if they meant at once or not but still impressive however you look at it.
Another one coming soon. The Soviet copy of Avro 504, named U-1 and nicknamed 'Avrushka'.
This one is from 1929 and has a "The Delegate" painted on the fuselage.
