Ok.
This has been posted before.
But everyone has aircraft they would love to see reproduced for FSX. Today with the high detail that developers are putting into these great planes we have now, what aircraft would you want produced or reproduced as a native FSX aircraft.
Please post pictures of your choices.
Thanks.
For me. it is these 2 planes.

Civilian Airliner: Convair 990
(now that with DX10, I've lost the HJG models ... :( , hope Fixer can "fix" them ...) but a VC equipped model would be splendid, as a companion to the JF DC-8.

Military: North American FJ-3 or (even better) FJ-4B Fury

As always with these lists, it's good to recognize the continued great work of devs, esp freeware folks, thanking them heartily for them having made all the stuff we do have come to fruition - everything we have now is someone's dream come true, even if it isn't ours - good to remember that. :ernaehrung004:

cheers,

DL

PS - honorable mention goes to the F-8, but with the RFN one somewhere in the works, that one gets hopefully taken off the list! :)

that is so true Delta.
Their dream, and for many of us ours as well. We put these wish lists together, in hopes when they are ready to start a new project, they can look here and get an idea of what many would like to have.
Thank you to all of our developers out here for bringing our dream planes to life.

Would love to see a well done one of this!!1

I'll second the FJ-4B, section F8 had it planned* though its been years since the original realease and none of the follow ups ever came to anything... pitty.
To add to the list I wouldn't mind a TF-9J Cougar either.

Yes, with Jan retired, and focused (at least as best as I can tell) on the Manfred Jahn's C-47 vintage vc, I have no realistic hope that any Fury will materialize. Ah well. Gradyhappy was kind enough to release this lovely paint ...

... tides me through nicely ...

And a Cougar would be a lovely project indeed - great choice! I'd be hard pressed to pick between either the TF or the photographic U version - would make a great Vertigo, project, no?

Would like to see some early to mid 1930's French aircraft. One of my favorites is the Couzinet 70.

This one is the "Arc-en-Ciel" that made several proving flights to and from South America. Quite a feat in 1933.

Martin B-57B...to include an EB-57 variant. The Alphasim version is not FSX native, and at a minimum, it would be great to see Phil & Co. update their freeware version and put it back on the market....just like they did with the EE Canberra...

I tend to favour the lighter and more leisurely side of flying so here are my pics off of the top of my head of some aircraft I'd like to see native for FSX:

1) Zlin Savage Cruiser

Zlin produces a couple of Cub look a-likes now but I'm partial to the Cruiser, which kinda reminds of some the classic clipped-wing Pipers...

2) The FK14 Le Mans

This. Definitely this...

3) Ultraflight Lazair

One of the all-time classic ultralights that was a true pioneer in the field, too...

UltraflightLazairSeriesIII.jpg

...and now available in electric flavour...

4) Aeronca 15AC Sedan

The largest in the Aeronca family - a four seater - with good looks and a very airy cabin...

5) Quikkit Glass Goose

An neat looking amphibious homebuilt biplane that certainly looked promising but sadly didn't seem to gain any traction beyond a handful of builds...

I'd normally curbstomb this kind of threads, but oh well...

Fokker F27 or FH-227
Fokker F-28
DC-9 series

All with a VC, all freeware.

The FJ-2/3 and 4 are still very much on my mind. I've got all the books and DVD's about them i could scrape together and started rearranging the F-86E's fuselage and cockpit/canopy to suit the FJ-2 and 3 ( no easy task! ). Was really looking forward working on these seabirds. Somehow the nose-up stance while on the ground always appealed to me (someone said DC-3 ?.... ) and no one does regret more the fact that i had to give up on my Fury project than me. While the FJ-2/3 still have something in common with the F-86E/F the FJ-4 is of course a totally different aircraft. And with FSX now being the main sim i had to start all over again anyway. The final straw that broke the camel's back...

Anyway, i sure am glad Manfred's gorgeous DC-3 model filled up my batteries again so atleast i'm back where i left Gmax/3dsMax. A good start, for one thing... :)

Btw, to stay on topic, i wouldn't mind an all singing and dancing T-33 and particularly the seagoing variant that never really made it, the T2V1 Seastar. Fat chance, surely...

cheers,
