Airfields limit?

I was trying to install Achime's new Barbarossa South pack in to my CFS2 but I noticed the fields were not showing up.

I went in to the scenery list and removed and added the folder where I had installed it. When I added it back CFS2 CTD on me. When I rebooted CFS2 the folder was there but this time all of my European airfields were not showing up.

Does CFS2 put a limit on how many airfields a scenery folder can hold? Is there a airfield limit on the number you can have installed in CFS2?

I haven't installed it yet, but I have 378 airfields in my PTO (running Windows XP) and it works fine. Could there be a conflict with a different install you may have (maybe two bgl sceneries conflicting)?

What's your OS (XP/Vista/Seven) or older?

If it's pre-XP, Windows will not recognize a text file (or mission file) about 64KB. For airbases, I think that's about 250 airbase.dat entries, or thereabouts.

However, for my Pacific install, I have about 520 entries with no ill effects in XP.

I'm running XP. I think in the end it was the fact that I tried to ram all of the airfields in to one install at one time. In my previous installs where I had 800-1000+ airfields there was not a problem because I added them piece by piece. I am doing that now. Its slow work, and trying to remember how I got around issues like Bruno's Malta CTD hasn't been all fun and roses, but the project is making progress. BTW, if your wonder I was able to solve 'most' of Bruno's Malta CTD issues by installing the airfields and meshes in to one folder.

Hi,

Try these AFD.bgl if it works.Did some changes on country and city
Seems to be some limit on airfield country and location
Airfields .dat is no problem!
Put it in your barbarossa south "scenery" folder, let it overwrite make backup first!
Works ok for me!
