This is a revision of akemi's A6M5 model 52 Zero for CFS 2. The model has been tweaked with a blue/green glass colour & slight changes to sheen using MDLmat. A dull camo sheen model is supplied for these later camouflaged planes.

The airfile has been revised to improve the AI formation keeping. The textures have been redrawn to try & match the stock textures in appearance, & depict a variety of aircraft at different...

UT: I have a question for you: Have you or anyone you can think of done a skin-pack for Air Group 15, the "Fabled Fifteen, from the USS Essex mid 44? I have searched and scanned the CFS2 US skins up through page 11 so far with no success.

Hmm,

Must reread my copy of "Fabled Fifteen" with an eye on potential texture details then...

I'm assuming Capt Kurt's F6F-3, Wolfi's SB2C & Wolfi's TBF/TBM?

That would be wonderful! USS Essex came in to San Francisco for her only wartime overhaul and returned to combat in mid-May 44. Do you think F6F-5s should be included too?

I found a CVBG15 skinpack in my download archives.

It was by Capt Kurt, circa FEB 2020. In it he has a skin for:

F6F3 (Allens)

F6F5 (Allens)

SB2C (Wolfis)

TBM (Wolfis)

It's not here at SOH, (must have been an attachment to a discussion thread from about that time...?)

But maybe he can be persuaded to redo the Hellcat skins to fit his own model....
