1/2 progress....

I managed to changed the right side of the fuse to German... but the left side persists in Hungarian version????
Changed all permissions, blocks, etc. I don't know... but this is becoming a real pain in the butt...

Gaucho,
I have tried a number of Welker's offerings lately, none of which I have found perform or display as "advertised" so, with your problem in mind and knowing how he cobbles stuff together to make them work in multiple sims, I thought I would have a look.
Here is what I found:
In the German texture folder delete the 2 files named "fuselagel" and "fuselageR"
Rename the file named "fuselage-24 to "fuselagel"
Rename the file named "fuselageR-24 to "fuselageR"
Both the renamed texture files are in DXT2048 format so converted them to 32 bit 888 @1024.
The German version showed up correctly!

Hope this helps
Kind regards
David

Progress....

Got the fuselage problem solved... Now the wings having the same problem...
Just changed the Left wing... to test... now the old (but very inexact) German wing persists...

Trying to get this thread back to the original subject again

The beautiful Kawasaki K-61 Hien (Tony) models are definitely among the best Akemi Mizoguchi has made. They are among the last models he made and they have a nice VC and there are quite some alternative textures available

Akemi made 3 versions: The early Ki-61-I-Ko with retractable tail wheel and armed with 2 light machine guns and 2 heavy machine guns

The Ki-61-I-Otsu with fixed tailwheel and 4 heavy machine guns

and the Ki-61-I-Hei with 2 Mauser cannons in the wings.

Everything working now...

Except for the wheels... that do not show (just black blobs)
Starting to look much better.... doing some serious painting... the mapping was off... by mm. only though....
can work that for a better paint job...
Some how... the bmp for the wheels does not take... any suggestions?
Thanks for the help... btw discovered an easier way to get to this famous virtual store... just type: %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore
No need to put user name at all...

The last A6M2 model 21 by Akemi is definitely one of my favourites as well. It is "the Zero" from the early stages of the war in the Pacific.

Some really nice pics Huub, showing his stuff off well, agreed he made some beauties. (Although a minor and surprising niggle, with this Type 21, is that he made the spinner too big and not quite the right shape.)

I must install some more of his stuff.

Is that his or another Japanese Carrier fleet? And what Ocean wave height state and colour/tex are you using there?

Cheers

I have the WOP/A2A A6M5 model from the A2A/WOP fighter set as well, and for sure a very nice model. But I somehow prefer this one. Perhaps because it was given to the community by somebody who enjoyed making it.

The spinner might be slightly too big, but I don't know whether the shape is that wrong. With the original flight dynamics I was unable to start from the short desk of Yanco's carries. So I had to fiddle with the flight dynamic a bit.

The carrier fleet is the one from Yanco's Coral Sea package. (Might be the Midway package as well, as I have both installed) .

When my memory is still correct I did mail you my "water" a few years ago. I think this OceanHeightField texture and water textures are included in that package.

The CFS2 community did some very nice textures for this model. Including some green versions........

Good evening Huub,

-I also use the Ki 84, and I don't have the same cockpit textures as you !!!!
Mine are gray / blue for the panel and the interior!
Did you modify these textures or was it in the archive?
I wish I had those dark textures!
Could you share them?
Thank you.
cordially

Hi Alain,

The VC textures are on the texture "ki84-03". One of the many repaints I have installed came with these dark VC textures. I need to figger out which one....

Cheers,
Huub

edit: Found it: These dark VC textures come with the K-84 textures done by miccasharon. When you do a search on his username and the text Hitachi Kyodo Hikou Shida they will pop up.

We Dutch love orange..... a quick an dirty repaint from Akemi's Rufe............. 802th Kokotai (landbased), Solomon Islands 1943
