Akemi's Ki-61

Correct me if I am wrong but If I remember correctly Akemi's Ki-61 had a problem with the dp file which caused it to ctd. Is there a fix to this because I just had a ctd flying his Ki-61.

yeah i downloaded them from his site recently. hmm maybe the ctd was something else.

There was a thread here shortly after the new Ki-61s were released, and I believe that updated DPs were posted in this thread. I´m not sure whether Akemi incorporated them in his planes and unfortunately I don´t remember who made them.
However, Jerm, if you PM me with your email address, i can send them to you.

By the way, which of the three is the correct one to use in Gedm´s ki-61 campaign? I think the -ko was the one that was built in ´43, but i´m not sure.

Yeah - same question here.

Also: I'm having a chronic CTD at the end of mission #3. Happens shortly after I shoot down the 2nd Havoc. (at WP 8 or 9?)

Have tried different player a/c but no change. (wingmen still fly the Ki-61)

I'm using the: mz-ki61-otsu (cuz I like the skin)
MDL file date: 9/4/2007
Aircraft.CFG file date: 6/4/2007
DP file date: 23/4/2007

Anyone got any ideas?

Do I need to Up-date? .... I really hate being Up-sh*t's creek!!!

Dirtman, I´m using the Ki-61-ko with a DP dated 26-04-07 and had no problems in mission 3.

I had a strange ctd problem the other day. All the missions with the DBolt F4U1A suddenly crashed. After trying out various different DPs without success I ran out of ideas and as a last effort changed the texture back to the original which came with the airplane.
I tried several (not all) of the missions that had problems, and now everything seems to work perfectly.
So for now it seems that the new texture was the culprit (didn´t know that textures can cause ctd???).

Maybe your problem has nothing to do with the Ki-61 after all?

I was thinking the same thing. If that does not work try another AC in the same mission and see if that makes any difference. If you have the same CTD its the plane and that is the problem. If it does not its not the AC the problem. Then try lowering the scenery settings. If that did not do the trick try to lower the sound bar!
