Alabeo C195 Released!

Bernt, I have those numbers already in my aircraft.cfg (Bought it last night), but it still overstresses upon loading..
there's a second entry above the 'correct' one. The lower entry you are seeing is in the wrong location and actually can be deleted.

I think it's one of the best put out by Alabeo. The panel is more old than new, although I wish it had an ADF radio.
The only negative is the high metallic shine on the exterior. Hopefully we will get something like a flat enamel on some of the repaints, even better yet, some dirty and worn out paints.
If this flies like the actual plane, it must have really been a hot rod.

OK, the text is more or less straight, all I need to do is coorect the size of the serial on the tail (why oh why are they different?) and decide on a silver paint vs bare metal look...any suggestions?

Thank you JanKees

Just downloaded the Air Force paint, brilliant as usual. I hope you have a few more schemes in mind for the C195. I would appreciate some older, simpler, stock schemes. Also a Bare polished aluminum scheme would be great as a blank canvas for for me to practice my would be repaint artist status on!

Thanks again

jankees,

I did purchased this very nice plane

Please, could you make the USAF available in in the gray paint also

Thank you for your paints... and helping me decide on this purchase :ernaehrung004:

Well worth it

I bought this plane on March 6th, was sent a serial # that didn't work, Alabeo had to send another # that did work.
Today, March 15th, I ordered their C-172RG, same problem, a serial # that doesn't work, sent an e-mail to Alabeo.
What is wrong with their installers?
Wouldn't be so bad if they got right back to you, but it can take up to 24 hours to get a response, maybe longer as it is now Saturday evening.
It almost wants to make me give up on Alabeo.

I wouldn't be too hard on them. The problem is obviously random. I've never had an install issue and I have all their birds. As developers all know random bugs are often very difficult to locate and/or reproduce.:banghead: At least they are working on a solution.

Finally received a reply from Alabeo. they did not send another number to use, instead their answer is to make sure the serial number is written correctly.
I have tried the serial # at least 20 times now, making sure it is exactly what they sent. Each time I get an error message.
Sent another message to Alabeo. Very frustrated with this. This is two Alabeo planes in a row that won't install.
Have bought planes from Lionheart, JustFlight, Carenado, Sibwings, Aerosoft, A2A. Never a problem installing.
Sorry to rant here, letting off some steam somewhere.

All my Alabeo Planes are bought directly from the Alabeo Website.
As I said, I've never had problems installing them until the C-195 and now the C172RG.
Alabeo admitted that their installers were having a problem when I wrote to them about the C-195, they sent another serial number that worked the 1st time I tried it.
Now with the C172RG, they seem to be saying that I'm not copying the number correctly.
How many times can I copy the series of numbers and letters wrong? It does seem like it's going overboard requiring a 32 character series of numbers and letters to get something that you have paid for.
It's been 3 hours now since I wrote to them again, looks like it may another 24 hours to get another reply.
This should not be so complicated.

Just got a reply from Alabeo.
They said they had another problem with their installers. The serial number was OK, the problem was that their installers could not read any Capital letters in the E-mail part of the installation.
I used all lower case letters as they said to try, and it worked.
I must give them credit for trying to fix their problems, it would be nice if they didn't have so many problems to begin with.

I have never seen capitals in an e-mail address? There certainly shouldn't be any.

I've had the same e-mail for over 10 years, Rudyjo22@......
The capital R has worked on all the previous installations from Alabeo.
At least it's been straightened out, it seems I bought both the C-195 and the C172RG just when they had installer problems. Maybe I'll have better luck next time.

Bought all mine from JF and never had any problems.
As for the modern panel, I'd rather have a Staggerwing, a Waco and a C195 with them than not have the aircraft at all.
Big props for Albeo, they do not slavishly follow the overdone Warbid path of so many operations.
:applause:
