Now available for FSX ! The HU-16B Albatross. The classic amphibian has been recreated with seven unique models and twelve texture sets, with options for 'weathered' or 'factory fresh' versions, bringing the total variations to sixteen. Full SP1/SP2/Acceleration compatibility is gauranteed, with all FSX features such as bump-mapping and self-shadowing used to full effect. The bump-mapping and reflectivity cause the great many lines of rivets in the aircraft skin catch the light and make for a near-photographic look. What a pwetty pwane! One small not so far, it sits a bit too high in the water but that's a quick fix hehe. So far I'm happy with it and I am happy with the reasonable pricing!

You know I think I will hold off on buying this plane. I used to love AS but in my opinion, lately they have been suffering. They have made us wait for a while for this bird and without Dan, i'm worried it isnt as good as it should be for that price.
 
Guys, that is one great looking model. Not my cup of tea as far as airplanes go, but by gosh, every line of that is just beautiful. Seen my share of Albys, Marine and Navy mostly.

Prices seem to have gone way up for the new planes, from all developers.........hummm, that makes me wait more and more also......hummmm-----"Sell less for higher price"---or sell much more with lower price---that is the question!!!!----hummmm, hummmm.....:a1310:

I'll let you in on a little insider knowledge. Dano was extremely involved with this one up to the last minute. Yes, Dano has left Alphasim but for a couple more releases (this one included) he will still be very involved.

The only reason you feel they made you wait (and how dare they make us do that :icon_lol:) is because they played the stupid game of trying to guess when it would be ready. "Coming soon" should be good enough.

OK, I'm off the box now.

Well it is nice to now some people have received it but I still have no Link to download it yet, and I have contacted them twice already with purchase information. Anyone here who can help???
