All hands, please read. Ickie.

Hard to find the words. The value of people like Ron is immeasurable (& irreplaceable), made even more so when we lose them. Without question he left a very big legacy here and among many in this hobby which will shine on for a long time. I'm certain that within all of us, in our own ways we'll help to continue that legacy he left us.

2016 was a very hard year for many of us regarding health and loss of family and good friends. I hope and wish for all good things and good health to all here (as well as family).

RIP Ron.

Very shocked and saddened by this news.

Thankyou for your efforts and for your character. You will be missed by many.

This is very sad news. I know that Ron is no longer suffering and is now flying with the angels, but he will be missed here on earth. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Requiescat In Pacem

In many ways 2016 is a year to forget ...

Best wishes to family and relatives ... and the rest of us, orphans as well in a way of sort.

I'm very sorry to hear that. It's hard to imagine a Sim Outhouse without Ickie.

Greetings
Tim

Ron was an old school straight shooter. His word was good as gold. No hand shake was necessary. Ron,...truly,...you will be missed.

Tim,

One of his biggest goals and wishes was for SOH to continue on, even after he was gone. He took a lot of steps to ensure that reality.

Not the news I was hoping to read when I started up my computer today:sorrow:. Condolences to his family and friends and may he rest in peace:engel016:. You will be missed...

A lot of folks don't know that Ron was also a musician who had an extensive collection of guitars and wrote a few songs. He sent me a few to listen to over the years. Here's one...

I am absolutely crushed to hear this sad news. I am sending prayers to his loved ones. He dedicated his life to keeping SOH up and running. He would want the SOH family to continue his efforts. Godspeed, Ickie, and thank you for all you did for us.

I have known Ron, through the SOH since I joined back in 1998 (or there abouts). So sad to hear of his passing, he was a tough contender, IMO, and I know he didn't go down without a fight.
Blue skies, Ron. Rest peacefully my friend.

“The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth, that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there's little good evidence. Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability, is to look death in the eye and to be grateful every day for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides.” Carl Sagan

I say with certainty that Ickie took the better path. RIP Ickie. My condolences to family and friends.
