Allied planes captured and used by the Luftwaffe

Seep666,

Hence the term "hacks." The Allies did it too...they loved the Fiseler Storch, for example. It was the best of its type in any Air Force in the world at that time.

Ever hear of the Schmittfire? http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2846450/schmittfire.html

How 'bout a Daimler-Benz engined Hurricane? http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/462028-Daimler-Benz-engined-Hurricane-Forums

The germans have also done captured aircrafts like curtis P36 and devoitine d520 from french air force to the axes allied force

I did know that the Allies did it, but never heard that germany did so too. Interesting to see those photos, they seem to be so wrong... :)

Hi,
I read a book years ago about KG200, a Luftwaffe unit of captured aircraft...I always thought it was fiction:pop4: but it seems to have been real!

Andy.

The German outfit was called the "Rosarius Flying Circus." After being tested in-depth at the Luftwaffe flight test center at Rechlin, on the Baltic, these aircraft were grouped together into a traveling organization that visited Luftwaffe combat airfields to familiarize German pilots with the enemy aircraft they would be facing in battle. They could test-fly them if time and circumstance permitted during the visit.
