Alpha Saab Draken

You know, for an older bird the Alphasim Draken still is a hoot to fly. Landing is a real challenge in this plane. I was just wondering if any of you armchair flyers out there still had this Alphasim model and knew of a better afterburner effect for her. I just need a little direction from someone who knows how to create such things. I have ALOT of Alphasim models and I could use an effect from one of those later jets if need be. I found some VC texture enhancements on the web for this plane, and some fictional British skins too. She looks really nice in RAF colours... :applause:, as well as Swedish, Danish, and Austrian variants. I thought of doing some fictional RAAF skins, but that's down the road. I even have me own private version that I like to hop around in.

I must admit that I have the Bookmark version. It has a really impressive VC.

BB, sensible approach would be to install the Bookmark Draken Dave mentioned, and use that model's afterburner effect ...well, that's what I did anyway!!

The new VC textures are included in the repaints by Pierre Lheureux.

:)

Bingo! There is also a cockpit mod that comes with the civilian repaint version of the Austrian Draken by David Irons. The fictional RAF repaints for the Alpha Draken were done by Dave Quincey.

I have a few mods I did for the fictional RAF versions, one of which is a unique gold tinted cockpit glass. The Saab Draken probably never had the F-16 gold cockpit glass in real life but it looks good on my British versions.

I also have the Bookmark Draken and it is quite immersive. ALOT of detail and it's an amazing "by the book" flyer. Sometimes, I like to just jump in and go... so having both gives me a choice.

I never thought to try the AB Effect from the Bookmark Draken on my trusty Alpha Draken, but it works quite well. Thanks for the tip, Andy!
