Alphasim F-101B with new textures

I've been playing with the old AS F-101B, a favourite of mine for years. It's very old now and could do with a revamp because it doesn't work all that well in FSX (it tends to 'shimmy' both in the air and on the ground) but some alterations have been made by others over the years to make it at least useable. So I decided to try to make it look a bit better with some improvements to the external texture set. This is 58-0329 of the 123rd FS Oregon ANG in the mid 1970's. The textures are 2048 x 2048 .dds and I use a 'texture.shared' folder for the common texture set. However someone once said that .dds textures can create problems for models not designed to use them. Is that so??

If anyone's interested I'll post them somewhere.

A FSX-native Voodoo would be really nice.
*Puts F-101 on imaginary list*

Just exactly how usable is it in FSX with all those mods?

If anyone's interested I'll post them somewhere.

Dave, PLEASE DO !!!!

BTW: Sofar I never experienced problems using textures I converted to DDS on models I ported over. I always save them without mipmaps, I found that this sometimes solves blurry looking textures in FSX.

:applause::applause::applause: & thank you,
Henk
