Hello Lads (& Lasses)

Been away for a few months ... 2nd baby ... not much free time ... :)

I've been itching to give the Alphasim F7F a go - a couple of silly questions:

1) Where is the model (couldn't find it in the new file library, and link from Alphasim freeware is dead;
2) Any mods, panels, or paints out there for it? I vaguely recall Obio and a soundfile ... but I could be wrong.

Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send you the CFS2 version. I have two panel files, one has updated .dp files and all needed guages, plus a sound pack by Obio. Far as I know, there are not any extra skins that I recall, but I may be wrong. If you find skins for the FS version the y should work OK. Here are the files I have.

Thanks - she looks and flies beautifully.

2 questions:

1) Wing Fold doesn't appear to work.

2) When I select the HVARs, only the two inboard (L and R) most rockets fire. There is no way to select and fire the remaining 6. Am I missing something?

Hi delta_lima,

Try adding this entry to your aircraft.cfg to solve the wing folding issue.

[folding_wings]
wing_fold_system_type = 4 ;0=None
fold_rates = 0.12,0.11 ;Percent per second

I just flew the Tigrcat and can fire all the rockets on it 2 at a time. Bearcat did an update a few years ago with a new dp which uses Dbolt weapons and some other updates.. It should be here at SOH.

Gents - all issues now resolved. A pity that there isn't a non N post war repaint - she'd be fun to do Bunker Hill in.

Thanks so much for the help on the wings/weapons - all works like a charm!

Gramps' F7F

Gramps and the F7F team are making a spectacular FS 9 Tigercat. Gramps jas aludded that he will compile a CFS 2 version of the plane when the project is near completion.
