Alphasim Islander preview

Hope you like it chaps ;)

Things are always changing and as thus, they are just previews. I've already made modifications to the bump maps et al, not to mention the fact we've not shown anything with colour yet.

Still, I hope it impresses somewhat!

Looks great Dan.
If the VC matches up to the exterior this will be on my Christmas list.

I like it.:ernae: I hope it comes with the textures it has in the screenshots cause it will make repaints easier.

That it does Dan!! Looking at the shots, I see some cool painting opportunities and also some great flying scenarios, like Africa supply runs and the such.

My main concern is this, you guys seem to be advertising/pushing the KLN gps, of which I really have no use or interest in. Which makes me wonder about development time vs cost (meaning will the price point be higher due to the time invested in developing this GPS unit?)

Personally, I prefer a detailed model/interior that uses default gauges, but I am probably in the minority, LOL

Hi Michael,

The KLN, though as advanced as it is, will not push the cost up. A price for the BN2 has not yet been confirmed, though it is most likely to be in the $50-60 NZD region, which is pretty much in line with our other less complex releases.

The KLN can be left switched off if you so wish, it's not required for flight.

Lifejogger- a full paint kit will of course be included with those textures you see in the preview as a base. There are only 5 maps to paint for the exterior model and the kit is not at all difficult to use!

Just Great!!!!!!.....I already have two FSAdventureSky Flights ready for it!!!!!!!....can we have it before Christmas???...Gracias:applause::applause::applause:

I truly am doing all I can to get it ready for Christmas.

Here is a screenshot of the Great Barrier Xpress livery. Also in the package is the GBA 'Kotare' livery. Great Barrier Airlines provided assistance with the Islander project. More screenshots are here -> http://www.virtualavia.com/alphasim/index.php?topic=382.0

I'm in that minority Michael, LOL, and this is looking great!! :applause::applause::applause: (I'm liking all these pretty Santas also!)

This is looking great and i look forward to seeing some VC shots. Are we likely to see a few Scottish birds Dan?

For sure Nick.

Ive painted a few British Airways aircraft (nee LoganAir) and a pure LoganAir example. There is also a Shetland Islands Council example.

Best
Dan.

I look forward to being able to paint that one when released.:ernae:

Will we get a paintkit?

I'm happy to see interest already in this release. Wait until you actually fly it. Eye candy is one thing, but flyability is another. It flies as nice as it looks guys.
