Alphasim Releaseing

Thank You Alpha Sim! I have these new releases downloaded, have the Connie Pack converted to CFS2, have the Beaufort pretty much converted to CFS2, then on to the others.

I don't hink I can count high enough to say for sure how many Alpha Sim planes I have installed....some from WAY back in the AF99 days (which I have run through Mopar Mike's texture converter to use BMP textures instead of the AF99 style).

Today, I finally got around to really getting the A-90 Orlenok and the SU-47 Berkut converted to CFS2. The A-90 air file still needs some work...the big bird stalls and drops like an anvil...have not had a successful landing yet (either on land or water).

As I get these conversions done, they will be uploaded to the CFS2 library for all to enjoy.

Thanks again Alpha Sim team!

My thanks too!

While I had purchased a few of them a while back, it is nice to see that all can enjoy them now. I just spent a nice evening touring the Mediterranean in my new Beaufort and Canberra.

That Mig-25 sure is a stunner! I have the old version of the AS Mig-25...and will use files from it to get the new 25 flying and shooting.

Really ?, I honestly cant remember, I do remember doing a new air drop animated model that took ages to get included in the package and I worked closely with a guy who made all sorts of specific panels in the VC that needed click spots, that one was never added in either, only existed here and on the other guys PC, think his name was Presley ?, Cliff Presley, used to hang out here before some sort of upset, anyway it was a good set of 2D and VC hot spot panels, radios, systems and fuel panels.

Best

Cliff Presley is ThudPilot. Are you thinking of a guy named Evin who went by just "-E"?

Just installed the F-80 and had to go up for a quick test flight in the Navy paint around the SF Bay area.

Thanks for the freeware release of one of the few jets I like. Thought I'd post a few screenies of my test flight.....

Evin, thats the guy, I just dimly remembered his name was linked to Elvis Presley....sort of...Evin...Elvis ??..well y'all know how my mind works now....or not LOL.

Course, I know Cliff as well from the first F-105 that was built :applause:

-E or Evin Mulron is still around. Not here, but you there are several forums where he is still a occasional visitor.

Hey Folks, :wavey:

I've just GOT to throw my two Cents (Pence) into this! Of the many commercial developers of Flight Sim aircraft, Alphasim holds a special place for me. I've only been into Flight Simmin' very heavily for the last 3 years. During that 3 years I pursued getting someone to make a realistic F-106. Guess who finally came through? Alphasim! The modeling, VC, 2D Cockpit and flight characteristics of this magnificent aircraft are all "spot on". After that I talked (begged?) Frank Safranek and Dave Larmer into doing a skin of my old aircraft with my tail/buzz number and squadron markings! You talk about a special aircraft to me with a lot of sentimental value, WOW!

All I can say is a HUGE "thank-you" to Alphasim for the F-106, and now I get all these other great aircraft for free. :jump: It's almost like its Christmas or my birthday, or something.

And my machine, too! I did some beta-testing for Evin a few years ago for an impressive series of mods he made to the Alphasim B-52. The man certainly was passionate about his -52s! (he was a former crew chief for one, IIRC). In addition to his C-141 mods, he also did similar personal upgrades to the AS F-4 packages and the "old" AS F-105. Very talented work...just ashame it never saw the light of day...
