AlphaSim Tu-160 shine issues in FSX???

SOH-CM-2025
I'm revisiting some of my old FSX aircraft, and decided to reload the old AlphaSim Tu-160. It is the FSX model (portover?). I notice when I pan around the model, the shine or lack of shine in some areas causes the effect that you see in the screen captures below. As an example, the wings go from white to a grayish color. Has anyone else come across this issue? I did a fresh install to make sure there are no missing or modified texture files in the folder.

I'm running FSX Acceleration.

The v1_21 readme.txt identifies this as version v1.21 for FSX.

Thanks for taking the time to check. Might just end up being an issue with my graphics card / driver as the issue also shows up in FS Repaint too.

Looks like the alpha of the spec is wrong...or missing...;)

I tried fresh installs of the FS9 and FSX versions (v1.21), but no joy. I don't know what may have changed on my computer to do this. In any case, I do have the Virtavia B-1B to take up the slack. And it's just as much of a beast as the Tu-160.

Problem Solved!

It is indeed a graphics driver issue. I reinstalled the original graphics drivers that came with the graphics card and the issue went away. So I just have to see which of the newer drivers is compatible with my FSX install. Odd that this is the only aircraft that gave me any issues with the newest driver (which is out-dated in any case). Still I'm happy I got this big bird back into the sky.

The problem I get is that the windshield becomes opaque in any sort of precipitation. Anyone else have this happen?
