Klein submitted a new resource:

In the original .dp files for these aircraft, many of the guns are not trained as 7.92mm machine guns, but as 20mm cannons, with a firing range of 1,000 meters, perhaps even more. This makes attacking them almost an exercise in futility.

In short, they have the "Betty complex." This will help to correct them.
