Alvin Lee 10 years after RIP

sad day indeed. Ickie watched him live thirty years ago and I can tell you he was better live than on his recordings.

This was played after Stevie Ray left us. For Alvin, Gary Moore, and all the great musicians who have left us too soon.
 
One of the first true heavy rock concerts I ever went to was Ten Years After. Saw them live several times after that.

Alvin was one of my original guitar idols and one of the few I lumped in with Hendrix, Page, Beck, Clapton and Santana back then.
