Amazing Kodachromes

A time when people used to do the most amazing things with very little.
Now we live in a time where people do very little with most amazing things.
 
Digital photos are fine and convenient, but I miss my Kodachrome slides and Ilford B&W films as well as 8X10 Polaroid. They were/are the most beautiful images ever! :applause:
 
For the consumer market, they just do not MAKE anything like the old Kodachrome. Y'all can have yer digital photos, I'd really like to have it back. I use for close-up in the garden and digital don't really do the job.
 
To be fair, you cannot compare just any digital camera to 4x5 film. Medium format digital cameras cost anywhere from 30-60k, and even then they are still a lot smaller than 4x5.

Digital has come a long ways in 15 years. Today's full frame DSLR's are putting out images with better quality than 35mm film.
