Digital photos are fine and convenient, but I miss my Kodachrome slides and Ilford B&W films as well as 8X10 Polaroid. They were/are the most beautiful images ever!
For the consumer market, they just do not MAKE anything like the old Kodachrome. Y'all can have yer digital photos, I'd really like to have it back. I use for close-up in the garden and digital don't really do the job.
To be fair, you cannot compare just any digital camera to 4x5 film. Medium format digital cameras cost anywhere from 30-60k, and even then they are still a lot smaller than 4x5.
Digital has come a long ways in 15 years. Today's full frame DSLR's are putting out images with better quality than 35mm film.
