The AMX-1A Package has been uploaded and should be available some time today. PLEASE, read the readme files and the PDF so that you can see first hand what it took to make this Freeware version of the AMX possible. Enjoy!

Now if some of the very talented repainters/artists who are members of this site could work their magic on this plane, that would be brilliant!

Great looking aircraft! I will definitely put 'er through the wringer!:applause:

That's an old timey washin' machine joke for you youngins!

Thank you so much Ed and all that contributed. Have not logged any virtual jet time in a while , so this one will do quite nicely. Mike :wavey:

Here are a couple more liveries I did while working on the AMX. They were not included in the package as I didn't feel they would pass the scrutiny of the detail oriented. . .but hopefully they'll motivate our livery artists and others to take an interest in this generous offering.

it is taking quite a bit of time for this thing to show up, no?

I'm not asking for myself, as I already have it. i was part of the beta tester team and I would just like for the rest of us to be able to enjoy it...

I agree, maybe Rami is out of town or something. I did have to make some last second changes to the upload as I was told that the Lago name needed to come off, which meant the airfile, mdl files, and aircraft.cfg all had to be amended. That pushed the actual upload time to almost 3:00pm CST yesterday. . .2 hours after I made the initial post, but I still thought it would be available by now. I'm sure Rami's working diligently though, lol

Thanks for the explanation Ed!

But come on: Lago doesn't even exist anymore... And you got the Ok from the original dev.

Also: models from the old (and now defunct) Alphasim, were released with that name and ALPHA_ in the files. Why isn't the same logic being applied here? I don't get it. I really don't.

I PM'd Rami to see if pulling it off to make those changes might have caused it to not show as uploaded again. Hopefully he can clear things up and it can be available soon.

No word from Rami as yet. Possible he may not be around currently. Hopefully I hear from him soon.

Well, it's not as good looking as a '68 Maserati Ghibli but I bet it's a lot more fun! I like your polka dot camo. Reminds me of the old A-10 J.A.W.S. test scheme except whoever painted it forgot to scale it up from 1/48! It looks like a test of modelers skill! In all seriousness the AMX looks really good Falcon. It will find a home next to my F.91 Gina!

Not polka Dots at all actually.

The AMX-1A is available to download. Rami has been ill and hasn't been able to do much as you can imagine. Thanks Rami!

I wonder how long it took to paint the entire (real) plane like that! My eyes would be going crazy!
I asked Matt Wynn that same question. My first thought was that it might have been a "wrap", but he said he was sure it had been done probably by a team of painters. . .still seems crazy to me, but effective.

Any thoughts on the AMX? Once you've flown it, why not post your impressions, screenshots, etc.

Sorry, I didn't take any screenshots! My first test flight is a simple circuit at L08 in Borrego Springs. I'm always impressed with a jet aircraft that I can takeoff and land easily on a 5,000 foot runway. More flights to come:applause:

How about these shots?
