An FCSA Presentation!

From the few screenshots shown... this is what I came up with... took awhile to create the U.S. AIR MAIL font as I see it in the pics, still need to tweak some! Lower wing is not finished and need to dirty it up a bit, and looking at the engine also. One area I could not change is in the VC view the struts are green, while the external view is yellow like it should be in the pics. -TF

Took a break I wanted to go flying!!!

Did have the recorder on... so here is the flight I did...

Mail compartment already in place. That worked out good Tufun. Nice paint, interesting colors.

And like the video very much. It's nice when you can tie a purpose into flying such as running mail to outlying settlements. A Stearman running mail would fill that role nicely in rugged areas like that in your video.

That is some beautiful landclass you have in FSX.

US Air Mail

How cool is that!!!!

I can see some flights from Elko, Nevada up to Idaho and the Tri-Cities in Washington. Don't think IFR will apply! In fact, in the movie, Christopher Reev is shown doing some dead reconning navigation.

Thanks a bunch on this movie... should have it by Monday! The other movie I enjoyed was the "High Road To China"!

Looking at this photo, I'm thinking painting with this tarp design. The lettering needs to be small than from my example.

High Road to China

What a fun movie that was. It's available at Amazon. I keep checking to see if the price has gone down any, but so far it's still a bit pricy.

Here's our intrepid aviator in his trusty Stearman doing some crude dead reckonning to get into Boise, Idaho. Check out that 1:100,000 Joint Air military map.

It's now on Blu-ray (Apr '12), but yeah... pricey. Anyways did find these repaints awhile ago, both red and blue models. Flew my "High Road To China" flights with these.

UPDATE:

Lower wing finished, added panel lines and dirt. Also added shadowing on engine cowling.
