An FS9 Question about Hard drives

Hi guys...what's better? Installing Sceneries on a separate hardrive from the drive where the sim is installed or is it best to install sceneries on the same drive as the sim but not in the sim itself?

I just install them into the Add On Scenery folder in the main FS folder.

Hi friend... It is possible, but sometimes it depends of the scenery...

MY FS9 is not on system disk (c:/) , but on a slave virtual disk.
Some of my sceneries are on another slave virtual disk, in another folder.

In the add-on scenery program of FS9, FS9 finds the way as indicated, it's OK.

Another example: recently I installed scenery in french Alps... But FS9 did not find the textures
of this scenery ( Scenery + texture included in the same sub-folder's scenery addon, as well...)
But when I copied these textures in the main folder texture of FS9, FS9 found them...
And the buildings of the scenery stopped being white... ( no colored )
Sometimes it depends how the designer configurated the bgl files ( in scenery sub-folder...)

But in a lot of case, your proposed configuration is correct...

I was just wondering really if the sim calls up the sceneries faster from another drive then it does from the same drive.....guess I'll try some experiments!
