An interesting memorial in the Sahara

now thats really interesting, although its a shame the desert sand will eventually swallow it (unless they keep it clear that is)

Perhaps in a very long period of years with no recurrent cleaning, but I think it would take a very long time given that the desert area is flat and the sand is more of a talcum powder consistency while the rocks are large and stable. I'm thinking at least over the next several decades, the wind will tend to blow the sand toward but then away from the memorial and sort of level things out.

Regardless, a very impressive piece of work in memorial and one I never before knew existed!
