Hey Bill,

yeah FS9 is my primary sim... FSX is just repainting for IRIS most of the time...

this Hawk has been the love of my sim-life (as jet trainers go) since i bought it waaaay back in the DSB days, was David's first payware aircraft... now working on Version 5 of my personal paintkit and i think it's my best yet, of course still gotta do the 1W, 100 and 200 series to same quality as this T.1A is turning out...

T-45.... well i did give Obio the paintkit to look at minus a lot of decals :icon_lol: once i'm fully done with these Hawks i'll upload the paintkits as i finish with them so you can all have a play... :salute:

Started working the Office now..... still a load of tweaking and fixing to do....

You get 'WOW!' points there buddy.
I love the Hawk, but when flying her, used to quickly scroll past the VC, shut my eyes, swear like a RN 'tar' ....or all three :icon_lol:

What you're doing there ol' buddy will get me in there once again, and keep me in pocket from the 'swear-box'!

Keep at it! :applause:

cheers buddy, not far to go i don't think now on the VC tweaks, also might install a few gauges that'll make it a bit more..... interesting :icon_lol:

less 'Mickey' now more textured....

....still trying to get this one darned gauge to work on the hawk, if anyone wants to take a look it's 'as_rain.zip' on flightsim.com, i keep having it show up then not disappearing, so if someone wants to take a look.... basically at 35% throttle it kicks up some spray from behind the aircraft, my problem is, even after leaving the ground it stays on.... been trying to figure it for nigh on 2 hours now, but as i don't speak XML i'm fugged if i know whats going wrong... :icon_lol:

found a different spray and got it working.... first preview of that here: good to see an aircraft kicking up some spray....

oh Birmingham is fun alright.... 'specially if you love traffic, and we ain't talkin' the aviation kind... :icon_lol:

still adding bits to hawk but i can afford some more leisurely time now that the first 6 paints are done.... :icon_lol:

Told you didn't I...

I'm merrily readin' away about the Hawk, gawking at the pretty pictures, get to the bottom of the page, and DANG! There he is, the red G43 next to my name, haunting me like the 3 ghosts of Christmas.

I'm loosing sleep, my remaining hair is white.

Can't even watch the telly without getting palpatations; documenrary about a rare leopard-like cat roaming the Jungles of South America.

If nobody likes the sound of the Hawk, I've heard it makes a cracking slope or thermal soarer (PSS)!

Now, just off to find out about train simulators...:wavey:

should hopefully have a few of the T.1 series painted up by midweek, i'll now Brief you basically on the Hawk T.1 variants;

During the production run that a requirement for some aircraft to be in the pure flying training role was decided, this being facilitated by the removal of the aircraft's weapons control boxes. The capability to refit these boxes was maintained and once 'converted', the aircraft were referred to, by the RAF alone, as Hawk T1W aircraft. Additionally, a later weapons system modification introduced a Sidewinder capability to 88 aircraft, the aircraft being redesignated Hawk T1A. the T.1 airframe was as T.1A except it could not be fitted with Aim-9.

recently (November) 19(R) Squadron was renumbered to IV(R) Squadron and the Hawk T.2 has been coming into use...

Hawk T.2 is next on my list once i get the T.1 series out the door, here is an image of one of the new T.2's in her nice new scheme...

Back to business

The photo had the desired soberring effect.

As I think I have already said some time ago; the Hawk sounds will be a useful by-product of the work done on the S.E.P.C.A.T. Jaguar.

The Jaguar has top priority and is WIP.
