There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Always room for a rig like that. Wish I had gotten a bit farther with ultralights when they were popular, but "ill prepared" pilots (and I use the term "pilots" very loosely) made it a short lived phenomenon. Should be fun to fly!:salute:
Actually the ultralight community is very alive and well here in the US, thanks in part to the EAA: http://www.eaa.org/ultralights/
(Although in my opinion, ultralights enjoy more popularity overseas.)
Ultralights here these days are not given the scrutiny as they were 30 years ago when they were being demonized by the Media, IMHO.
I know of a few guys in the area here that operate them, in fact they were out last week when we were having warm weather.
It was nice to hear the drone of a Rotax equipped Eipper MX overhead.
And I am actually thinking of getting back into the sport after all these years.
It was a very fun part of my life.
Yep, the "QuickSilver" was what I was referring to. Dealerships at that time were relatively easy to get into, but by the time I had everything in line to make a move, the "media" and those "Ill prepared pilots" I spoke of pulled the rug out from under sales. I used to be able to drive down Hwy. 75 at that time from McKinney to South Dallas and see half a dozed dealerships along the highway, plus several out here at the airport. Today, nothing.I really miss my MX.
Looks really sweet!
Anyone remember this 'ultralight'?:
