Hi Guys,

we discovered a small issue with our birds when encountering icing conditions in flight. Apparently I had installed the valve for the de-icing boots incorrectly
Tom Gibson at CalClassic inspected the airframes and found the problem.
The fix can be downloaded here for both the G and H models:

I think all of the team devotes lots of time because Connies always hit a soft spot in us

OFF THE RECORD

After the YC-121 where I joined the team(FDE,testing) actually Manfred didnt want to go on-->Then 1649(a nightmare by itself.e.g the flapslever cover Kelly Johnson invented as the bird was too slow) & VC -->Then we talked him into the (bigger) rest of them like you have everything allready the fuselage the wings the tanks VC-->Should be easy

IT IS NOT EASY

All the Connies differ each other.Alone the cowl flaps are a nightmare by themselves,different windows everywhere but still Manfred has volunteered to do even the radar ones

I am personally fine with what we have got,I got even my favorite Aer Lingus repaint

The only thing I am waiting(last in the order is the Speedpack version which to my opinion will be an FS first.(As the L-1049 is a FS2004 first the last one was a FS98)

The RC and EC planes with various radomes the 749 and the speed pack.And while it is (very relatively)easy to make G's and H's as they share close(Close is usually in Connies NOT the same) engines the 749 is very different

It is an EC-121L (WV-2E) a testbed for rotating radar dome with an AN/APS-70 radar.
