Ankor's Shaders install error msg

Well, it get's to where it's looking for the files in the shaders30 folder, and can't find them and gives up.

The shaders30 folder goes in same place as all the other folders in CFS3 and contains:
Clouds.fx
Fog.fx
Generic.fx
GroundShadow.fx
Light.fx
Models.fx
RenderShadows.fx
Scenery.fx
SeaWater.fx
Skybox.fx
Terrain.fx
Texture.fx
TextureMagic.ini
 
It's not giving a GPU error, and it's successfully allocating video memory, so that's probably not the cause.

This is probably one of those "you'd have to be there to diagnose it" problems. I suspect it's something simple like windows read/write permissions, and we just haven't asked you the proper question to help you figure it out yet.
 
It's, most likely, something i did to mess it up every time. Works for too many others to be something wrong with the files.:banghead:
 
Tried again and can't even get config exe to work as it crashes every time.I've installed 9 different versions of CFS3 and all work perfectly so i'm not too much a dummy. Could be my gpu. That's all i can figure out.
 
hmm, in another words you never was able to run a CFS3 with AnkorShaders at all, right?

as I remember (the shader june 2016 release), it was ridiculously easy, just about unzipping (a few) files, runing cfs3 config exe and done. to fix one two small visual ussues Ive just corrected one two rows at my computer/AppData/Microsoft/CFS3 the configoverrides file and done.
 
Have had it to where the sim would start loading then crash and could set the confi exe. Now it won't even allow me to get that far. Downloaded older version and will try it out. What did you modify in detail ? May have to wait till i get a better computer later this year, if the car doesn't break down again.:banghead::dizzy: Regards,Scott
 
well, first of all, some of the big CFS3 mods / game overhauls using some kind of AnkorShaders enpacked, if I am getting it right.I think you have a plenty of such modded CFS3 versions, so there is not a gpu problem, I suppose.

I would bet your shader installation just overwrites some kind if config related files at wrong path.
you will neeed to remove them first, to get working the cfs3config exe again.
my favorite trouble maker is at Users\(user)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Combat Flight Simulator 3.0\ConfigOverrides.xml :)

more could tell you the others, MajorMagee, Capt. Winters...

meanwhile, you can study the issue solutions this way.
 
Checked the config overides and checked good but still get a ctd when loading sim. At a loss as to why. Able to install PTO-RS and ETO so i know how to follow instructions good . I feel really stupid as it is probably something above my pay grade.Just tried it out on a stock install and still doesn't work. Thanks for the link but still a no go. Wonder if anyone else have had a problem installing and what they did to fix problem ?
