I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend! I know I am! Today is a day I have been looking forward too for a while now! I get announce the Evektor SportStar LSA , and a new 3rd party add-on Studio KC Flight Shop, Our goal for this company is very simple, affordable grass roots flight sim development, with a price goal is around $15 .

Now, lets talk a little about the Evektor SportStar! The aircraft started its life in 2003 with the new LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) classification in the Check Republic and was the FIRST aircraft to get a certificate under the S-LSA category. Since then Evektor has produced thousands of SportStar's!

The SportStar is powered by the reliable Rotax 912ULS engine at 100HP with the max speed of 115 Knots. This thing is no sports car, but made for those of us that like to take things low and slow! At only 1268lb loaded, its got a very good power to weight ratio. Controls are amazingly light and sensitive, its an aircraft where you only think about your maneuver to do it !

One of the things I loved about modeling this aircraft, is getting a chance to fly the real one myself! though only from the right seat, it gave me a deeper connection with the SportStar then a directory full of references every could! I wish I could do this with every project I work on! Here are some photo's from my research session with the real SportStar at Renton airport in Seattle.

OK. Lets get into the FSX SportStar. First, some marketing bullet points. Our design goal was to create a very detailed model, but keep the performance impact to a MINIMUM to insure the aircraft works on the most machines possible.

-Highly detailed and accurate interior and exterior
-High resolution (2K) textures with a good selection of default livery's with layered paint kit!
-Amazingly well optimized model for PERFORMANCE on almost any machine that can run FSX. Not much more overhead then default FSX aircraft!
-Fully detailed and animated VC with everything fully functional and clickable.
-Fully animated pilot.
-FM that is PILOT TESTED for accuracy </SPAN>
-Working Garmin GNS 430 navigation system
-AND MUCH MUCH MORE!

And now, the FSX screen shots! Please note! These are EARLY BETA!

The differance is the canopy. The SportStar is made for the US market with bigger pilots in mind. You can see in the photo's and screenshots there is a wider section on each side of the canopy. Thats the only differance.

Ahh..thanks for the clarification. :)

I'll look forward to it's release.:ernae:

Thanks for the complament! The Drifter Ultralight also looks stunning. The engine detail on that thing is amazing! Your work?

It looks like I will be taking the real SportStar up tomorrow or Friday for some final flight testing. Anyone interested in some video? =)

We are so focused on the SportStar right now, we havent picked the next project yet. We have some idea's, but want to keep them a secret for a little ;) :salute:

Great! BTW in what way does your offering differ from the freeware Evektor? I hope it does differ in flight dynamics and functionality.

The flight dynamics will be exceptionally good, as Bernt Stolle is doing it. Throw in the 2 hot Czech girls, and I'll buy it :)
